SCHOOL NEWS

The school year is off to a great start!  Our theme for this school year is: “Let’s live by the fruit of the Spirit” based on Galatians 5:22-23.  Please keep our school students, families, and teachers in your prayers as we practice living in a way that pleases God out of gratefulness for all He has done for us.

THANK YOU:  To all the people who helped with the preparation of our school! There are a few minor things left to be done, if you would like to help please contact Mrs. Walling.

A major ‘Thank you’ to Kevin Potratz for the installation of the new computers!  We recognize the efforts it takes to get us up and running and “trained”.

Also, thanks to all the people who pitched in on the installation of the new lights!  What an improvement!

All the efforts to improve our school have been greatly appreciated! We couldn’t have done it without all the volunteers!  God has richly blessed us!

FUNDRAISER:  Grades 5-8 will be doing a Current fundraiser beginning this next week to support some mission projects and to help with the cost of field trips.  Please support them if you are able.  If you would like to see the catalog and have not yet been contacted by a student, please call the school office at 535-2251.

PLUM CREEK LITERACY FESTIVAL:  On September 19, all of the students in our school will be attending the Plum Creek Literacy Festival on the Concordia University campus.  This is a wonderful opportunity for our students to meet and talk with well-known authors of children’s books.

CALLING ALL PARENTS TO PRAY!

Not just parents, everyone is welcome to come to the school basement every school morning at 7:55 to help us pray for the school this year.  We will be praying for the school year, the teachers, students, parents, the school board, -- the list goes on and on!  Chapel is at 8:15 on Wednesday mornings and we would love for you to stay and join us!

Any questions please call

 Mrs. Walling at 535-2251

 or Andrea Lewis 643-2073.

  Hope to see you there!

                                         in the school pages but
