This nine month program of instruction and information about the Catholic Shurch is intended for those who have never been baptized, baptized in another faith, or for those who wish to return to the practice of the faith.
The Rite starts with the INQUIRY PHASE. During this time, persons interested in learning more about God and Catholic Church are invited to inquire, to ask questions, to begin a study with the assistance of the RCIA team which will help them deepen their own faith and prayer. A second phase of CANDIDACY begins in December, during which time those who are ready to do so express their desire to become full members of the Catholic Church. The Lenten season marks the ELECTION PHASE, which is a period of special spiritual preparation for entry into the Church. At Easter Vigil, candidates are welcomed into the Church. After Easter, the MYSTAGOGICAL PHASE takes place during which the new members deepen their understanding of their full membership in the Church.
Meeting are conducted by the RCIA team. Call the parish office (643-3421) for meeting times and dates. Team members are: Father Brad Zitek, Georgea Hicks, Jim and Marty Safford.
