When I have played Baccarat, or actually, any other casino game, I tend to bet very low. That is safer, but it doesn't really help you win the game.

In Baccarat, it is the safest to bet on the player and the banker, as the each wins about 45% of the time. The banker usually wins more than the player, but it also depends on the number of decks. (6 decks favors the player, 8 decks favors the banker (each only by about one 10,000th of a point.)

Betting a tie is generally a very risky bet, as it only wins about 10% of the time. It should generally be avoided. Personally, I like to put low bets on the tie once in awhile, becuase I find they're a good payout, but it's not really the best and safest strategy.
